I've had this idea rolling around in my head for some time about making a bowl or basket that contains unusual, odd little things and calling it "Divining Bowl".
Recalling an actual divination done by an Arab woman for a group of wives while we were living in Bahrain.
She refused to perform a divination for me, though. probably because of my blue eyes. In some cultures, blue eyes have the power of the evil eye.
I've run across this before--mainly in the Middle East, Spain, Mexico and among Gypsies (because of the Arab influence) Might be in Greece too, though I don't know for sure.
I haven't a clue what I'm going to do with it.
