Collecting.
Most of us take our favorite cup to use when we pack our stuff for a show. I have a few pieces that I like to use in my booth.
And sometimes, when I go to a show or visit a potter's booth, I see them drinking from a cup or eating from a bowl.
How often I have been tempted to ask, "Is that your own mug and is it for sale?"
It might make a most interesting collection.
This is one of my favorite mugs, but I'm afraid I would never sell it.

My favorite mug changes often! I ususally pick one out of each firing and use it until the next firing, at which time I will sell it; unless of course it has a flaw.
That's true. I probably should have said, "favorite de jour!"
I fall in love with some piece, set it on the living room window sill and look at. Or I take it into the office to rest my eyes upon as an alternative to the computer screen.....
I decide which is it's best side and how to photograph it. I think about making another one of whatever it is.
I have pieces all over my house from living room to bedroom. Two reside in the bathroom.
And a lot in the kitchen on the table, cabinets and behind glass doors.
